Engineering Software Research and Development, Inc. (ESRD) is concerned about your right to privacy.  We collect information to help us provide you with better technical support and deliver timely information about features and enhancements to the StressCheck product.  Our commitment to your privacy is outlined in this Privacy Policy, which explains our online information practices and the use of your personal information. 

Web Site

Personal information collected on www.esrd.com (the "Web-Site") will be used to provide the service(s) or complete the transaction(s) you have requested or authorized.  By accessing this Web-Site, the user is consenting to the information collection and use practices described in this Privacy Policy.

ESRD requires complete and accurate registration information* in order to download software and documentation from the Web-Site, or to request and evaluation copy of the software.  The personal information we collect may include contact information such as your name, company or organization name, work or home address, phone number, and e-mail address. Additional personal information related to the users experience with finite element analysis (FEA) software and the intended usage may be asked when requesting an evaluation of the StressCheck software.  The user is not required to disclose this optional information, however, it is very useful to us in providing helpful guidance in the selection of an FEA software tool specific to your needs.

If the user is granted an evaluation of the StressCheck software, specific information about the host computer must be disclosed (via e-mail) in order to generate a license key.  Namely, ESRD requires the HostID (Ethernet address) or the Disk Volume Serial Number of the machine that will be used for the software evaluation.  Computer information is confidential and will not be shared with anyone outside of ESRD.

The information submitted through a web form is transmitted over the Internet using plain text.  Visitors to the Web-Site should be aware of this before entering information they consider sensitive or confidential.

News Letter

E-mail addresses provided to ESRD may be used for product awareness and marketing.  Periodically, ESRD will send out an electronic newsletter to inform the current and prospective user community of new features and capabilities of StressCheck.  Participation in the electronic newsletter is voluntary and the user may remove themselves from the subscriber list by sending an e-mail to newsletter@esrd.com.

Control of Your Personal Information

Personal information you provide on the Web-Site is treated confidentially and will not be shared outside of ESRD without your permission.  This information is used for security purposes, marketing activities, and serves to help us communicate with the user community in the most effective way to resolve problems and answer questions. 

Policy Changes

ESRD reserves the right to modify its Privacy Policy at any time.  Any changes to the policy will be posted and a change notice will be placed on this Web page.
