Beginning in March 2013, ESRD is pleased to offer Introduction to StressCheck workshops at regular intervals. The 2-day workshop will focus on the fundamentals of StressCheck and its associated technology base, and the total cost for each attendee is $1590. Included in the cost are:
- Sixteen (16) hours of intensive StressCheck study, split between lectures and class exercises
- Training materials
- Opportunities for one-on-one StressCheck instruction from an experienced ESRD trainer
- Access to our expert staff and p-FEM knowledge base
- A Windows 7 64-bit laptop for maximum computing efficiency
- Lunch, coffee and snacks
Who Should Attend Introduction to StressCheck?
The workshop is geared toward new users of StressCheck who have not yet received a StressCheck Basic Training course, and to those wanting to know more about the technology and capabilities of StressCheck before purchasing the software. It is recommended to have familiarity with the finite element method (FEM) and a background in solid mechanics.
During the 2-day Introduction to StressCheck workshop participants will become familiar with the graphical user interface of StressCheck and with basic elements of the p-version finite element method (p-FEM). The workshop will focus on 2D and 3D model construction techniques for single parts and multi-body contact, obtaining a sequence of solutions by p-extension, performing solution verification and a wide range of post-processing operations. Lectures will cover the fundamental concepts of the p-FEM, including meshing, application of boundary conditions and quality assurance procedures. The Introduction to StressCheck workshop is a prerequisite to any advanced training workshop.
The following dates are scheduled for a 2-day Introduction to StressCheck workshop (with an option to purchase an additional two to three days of advanced StressCheck training) at ESRD Headquarters in St. Louis, MO.
