StressCheck Tutorial: Checking ITP Viability for Solving Nonlinear Events
Abstract: Case study for the checklist to determine the viability of performing Incremental theory of plasticity (ITP). Overload, unload, re-load and unload events studied for a U-shaped member under “pull apart” loads. Results between Deformation theory of plasticity (DPT), General nonlinear (geometric nonlinear + DPT) and IPT solutions for the initial overload event are compared.
