Last month we asked our FEA-minded engineering community how we should improve StressCheck® Professional, and the results are in! Find out what was most important to your fellow StressCheck® users and FEA enthusiasts.
In the October 2018 issue of NAFEMS Benchmark magazine, ESRD Chairman Dr. Barna Szabó posed a new “FEA Puzzler”: Can you determine the progression in spring rate as a 3D coil spring is deformed? And, can you verify the accuracy of your solution? Give it your best shot!
In recent years, Digital Engineering contributor, NAFEMS instructor and FETraining.net developer Tony Abbey has put together a list of practical engineering simulation case studies, walk-thrus and software overviews for a variety of FEA software tools.
Watch as ESRD reproduces a selected set of his 3D detailed stress analysis case studies, and see how we compare with Digital Engineering’s published results!
In this S.A.F.E.R. Simulation article, we explore the concept of Hierarchic Modeling, some practical applications of Hierarchic Modeling, and the importance of implementing a Hierarchic Modeling framework in CAE software tools to support the practice of Simulation Governance.
This past year, ESRD’s Drs. Barna Szabó and Ricardo Actis collaborated with NAVAIR’s Mr. Dave Rusk on a technical paper titled “Fatigue Life Prediction of Flaw-Tolerant Damaged Rotorcraft Structures”. This paper was presented at the American Helicopter Society Annual Forum 74 in Phoenix, Arizona May 14-17, 2018.

ESRD is pleased to announce that we will be attending and presenting at The Conference on Advancing Analysis & Simulation in Engineering (CAASE) 2018 from June 5-7 in Cleveland, OH.
Why is Simulation Governance Essential for the Reliable Deployment of FEA-Based Engineering Simulation Apps?
How can the vision for expanding the use of numerical simulation by persons who do not have expertise in finite element analysis (FEA) be safely realized? The solution lies in the establishment of Simulation Governance through the development and dissemination of expert-designed Engineering Simulation Apps. Read more[…]
We need your vote! ESRD is planning a June 20th, 2018 webinar on a must-see Aerospace & Defense application, and we are requesting your participation in selecting the next topic. […]
